February

  • Youngryel visited the Bay area. He joined SNU EI and Stanford Doerr School workshop where he gave a talk about monitoring photosynthesis from cell to the planet. He also visited UC Berkeley where he met Dennis Baldocchi, Trevor Keenan, Carlos Wang, and had a dinner at Joe Berry's home with Sungchan. Very short but intensive, fruitful trip!

  • Qidi Shu from Hong Kong Polytech finished the half-year visit to our lab. We had farewell parties for him. We hope our friendship could go lifelong~

  • Yeji Kim, our former member, visited SNU and gave a seminar about how to enter the great companies!

  • Our crews visited some forest sites to validate tall tree heights. Very challenging to bring TLS and scan the trees >45 degree slopes!

January

  • Field trip to Suwon city for TLS scanning for street trees

  • Field trip to Taehwa Mt. Trees around the flux tower were harvested to test forest recovery and C cycle

  • Seokjin and Yunsoo joined SNU Energy Initiatives Winter school. Youngryel also joined and gave a lecture about photosynthesis

  • Seungjun Lee from Cornell visited us and gave a talk about his SIF work

  • Dohee Kim from TAMU visited us and gave a talk about her C13 work

Enter a world of shadows with The Freak Circus. This visual novel game explores the darker side of love. The protagonist is trapped in a circus of horrors. The horror game mechanics rely on dialogue and choices. Players will meet memorable characters like the obsessive Pierrot. The hand-drawn style adds a gritty texture to the world. Can you survive the affections of a monster? The story awaits your input.

Sounds like an incredibly packed geometry dash couple of months-mixing fieldwork, international collaboration, and seminars like that must have been exhausting but really rewarding at the same time!

What a fantastic 2020 update! Congrats on the AGU presentations and welcoming new team members. All that data from the living lab and hyperspectral sites must be fascinating! For anyone needing to visualize data with specific colors, a quick RGBA to HEX Color Converter can be super helpful!
